Sometimes customization requires only the modification of an existing design's measurements. Other times, challenging architecture dictates the design adjustments.
The Catherine Loveseat‘s sloped arm provided the ever so slight basis for the curved chaise lounge pictured above. Sometimes only the modification of an existing design is needed to personalize a new custom-made piece.
The above project was commissioned by this month’s featured designer, Bonnie J. Steves, who points out that the room’s curved outer wall was a challenge. The upholstery, therefore, had to mimic this curve while blending nicely with other pieces of furniture in the room.
